Vertiv jumps about 15% premarket as Q3 sales rise 61% and it lifts 2026 sales outlook by $650M

The data-center power and cooling supplier said organic orders more than doubled and raised its full-year outlook, extending a morning of strong AI-infrastructure results.

Vertiv (VRT), which supplies power and cooling equipment for data centers, reported third-quarter results before the open on Wednesday and raised its 2026 outlook.

ItemQ3 2026Estimate (Investing.com)

Adjusted EPS$2.21 (+78%)$1.82
Adjusted operating margin25.2% (+290 bp)–

Guidance: Full-year 2026 net sales of $14.45B to $14.85B (midpoint raised by $650M) and adjusted EPS of $7.10 to $7.20. For the fourth quarter, Vertiv sees sales of $4.31B to $4.51B and adjusted EPS of $2.22 to $2.28.

Market reaction: The shares were up about 14% to 15% in premarket trading.

Why it matters: Orders that more than doubled are a forward signal, not just a sales beat. Together with GE Vernova’s record orders earlier this morning, it shows AI data-center spending is still flowing into power and cooling hardware, hours before Microsoft and Alphabet report capital-spending plans.

What to watch next: Whether the gain holds at the open, backlog and book-to-bill details on the call, the Fed decision at 2 p.m. ET, and Big Tech capex after the close. Data-center related names can be tracked on the US screener.
